Mumbai: India is the second biggest consumer of gold after China. As the festivals and wedding season came in it has brought little activity in the gold and jewellery market. As per a report by the World Gold Council (WGC), Indian gold demand during the September quarter registered a 10 per cent rise to 183.2 tonne from a year earlier, as prices fell significantly resulting in bargain buying.
