Row over ‘national priorities’ in research: Expert resigns from CUK’s Board of Studies

Upset over the circular from the registrar of the University of Kerala (CUK), saying that the research topics for PhD should be in accordance with the ‘national priorities’, to ‘discourage research in irrelevant areas’, academic expert and professor Meena T Pillai has resigned from the Board of Studies in English and Comparative Literature of the university.
